1. The provider
The CarHelp service is provided by Said Tarek, sole trader (the Provider). VAT number: HU91988438. Registered address: 1033 Budapest, Vöröskereszt utca 14. Phone: +36 20 348 3962 (calls and WhatsApp). Website: carhelp.hu.
2. The nature of the service
CarHelp is an intermediary. We take the customer's call, assess the situation, and the recovery, transport or on-site assistance is carried out by an independent partner holding its own licence and liability insurance (the Partner). The service contract is concluded between the customer and the Partner; the Provider supplies the intermediation and the dispatch service.
The service is available in Budapest and its suburbs, every day of the year, 24 hours a day. If no Partner is available, we say so immediately — we do not keep the customer waiting.
3. How ordering works
- The customer contacts us by phone or WhatsApp and tells us where the car is and what happened.
- The dispatcher tells the customer which zone the case falls into and what it costs (section 4).
- If the customer accepts, the Provider assigns a Partner and tells the customer who is coming, in what vehicle and roughly when they will arrive.
- The order is concluded verbally, during the call; no registration, deposit or advance details are required.
4. Prices
The fee consists of a base fee and a per-kilometre rate, according to the zone of the transport: HUF 40,000 flat within Budapest; HUF 45,000 within Pest county, including the first 45 km, and HUF 350/km above that; HUF 45,000 + 350/km anywhere in Hungary; HUF 45,000 + 400/km abroad. The price calculator applies the same rates. There is no surcharge at night, on weekends or on public holidays.
The calculated price is indicative and covers ordinary loading and transport. It does not include extra services requiring separate equipment (for example crane lifting, pulling the car out of a ditch, recovery from an underground garage); the fee for these is communicated once the location is known, before work begins. There are no hidden costs. In very special cases (for example a hard-to-reach location) the final price can only be given after an on-site inspection; the customer is informed of this in advance.
5. Payment and invoicing
The customer pays the fee to the Partner, who issues an invoice for the completed job — on request in a company's name. The Partner states the payment methods (cash, card, bank transfer) when the order is placed. The Provider charges the customer no separate fee.
6. Cancellation, failed jobs, waiting
The customer may cancel free of charge until the Partner sets off. If the Partner has already set off and the customer cancels, or cannot be reached at the location, the Partner may charge the call-out fee. If the job is delayed on site by more than 30 minutes through the customer's fault, the Partner may charge a waiting fee, of which it gives notice in advance.
7. Liability
The Partner is liable for damage arising during the recovery and transport, under its own liability insurance. The Provider only works with Partners holding a valid licence and liability insurance; this is a condition of the partner contract. The Provider is responsible for the accuracy of the intermediation: that the information given to the customer (who is coming, when, at what price) matches what was agreed with the Partner.
8. Conditions for partners
- A Partner must hold a valid road haulage or towing licence and valid liability insurance, and must prove this.
- Joining is free of charge; the Partner pays nothing up front. The Provider's remuneration is tied exclusively to completed jobs, and its amount is set out in the separate partner contract.
- The Partner is free to accept or decline any job; the price and departure time communicated to the customer by the Provider are honoured by the Partner.
9. Privacy notice
Data controller: Said Tarek E.V. (section 1). During the customer's call we process their name, phone number, the car's registration plate and the location, solely for the purpose of organising the recovery; we pass these on to the Partner to carry out the job. We keep the data for 30 days after completion, or for the period required by law where accounting obligations apply.
The company, contact, vehicle and licence details provided in the partner application are processed for the purpose of discussing the partnership; if no cooperation is established, we delete them within 6 months of the application. The website uses no cookies and collects no visitor data.
Data subjects may request information, correction or deletion at any time on +36 20 348 3962. For legal remedy they may turn to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (naih.hu).
10. Complaints
We accept complaints on +36 20 348 3962 or via WhatsApp and reply in writing within 30 days. Complaints about the Partner's performance are forwarded to the Partner, and we mediate in resolving them. In a consumer dispute the customer may turn to the conciliation body competent for their place of residence.
11. Final provisions
These Terms are in force from 9 September 2026 until amended. Amendments are published on the website; the terms in force at the time of ordering apply to services already ordered. In matters not regulated here Hungarian law, in particular the Civil Code, applies. In the event of any discrepancy the Hungarian version prevails.
